The road to Michelin’ has paid off for Terme di Saturnia SPA & Golf Resort
The All’Acquacotta Restaurant at Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort has been awarded with its first Michelin Star
SATURNIA, ITALY – Inclusion in the highly esteemed and universally recognized Michelin Restaurant Guide is considered the ultimate culinary accolade. In a long-awaited and defining moment on November 16, 2011, Chef Alessandro Bocci and Chef Michele Rinaldi together with Maitre d’hotel Marco Andronico and their restaurant staff were awarded this honor as All’Acquacotta, located at the Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort, was presented with a Michelin Star.

This will signify the young Executive Chef Rinaldi and Chef Bocci’s first Michelin Star and official entrée into the world of the culinary elite. The achievement was the final outcome of a 2-year initiative appropriately entitled “Road to Michelin,” spearheaded by 3 Michelin Star chef Cerea and designed in conjunction with the world-renowned Cerea family, operators of the famous Da Vittorio Restaurant. The whole team successfully took on the remarkable task of redefining the restaurant’s philosophy and establishing Terme di Saturnia as a mecca for not only spa-goers and golf enthusiasts but also a destination for epicures and culinary connoisseurs. Terme di Saturnia is proud to further contribute to Italy’s already venerated culinary reputation; with the addition of Terme’s All’Acquacotta Restaurant, Italy now boasts almost 300 Michelin-rated restaurants.

All’Acquacotta stays true to its Tuscan roots serving traditional cuisine and emphasizing gracious and attentive service. The décor is classic and simple allowing patrons to enjoy the backdrop of the medieval village of Saturnia and the view of Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort’s ancient thermal pool, once used by the Romans, dating back 3,000 years. Some of All’Acquacotta’s most highly acclaimed classic Italian dishes include Catalan-style Lobster dressed with Green Celery Mousee and Red Coral Sauce, Homemade Ravioli filled with Ricotta Cheese and Black Cabbage sautéed with Crispy Bacon, and Braised Veal-Cheek served with Polenta.
